Roughly Nov. 2022 – Nov. 2023 (CA to OH)

Here’s a video summary of many (not all) of the digital images and smaller videos that I’ve composed on my iPad Pro using an Apple Pencil from November 2022 to part way through November 2023. The time period happens to correspond to our corporate move from California to Ohio. As usual some of the images are cartoonish, some are a little more serious; there are a few dogs, a few airbnbs, some political figures, and some psychopaths,  I’m doing an inventory so that I can pick out one, maybe two or three for a “call for entry.” Feel free to leave a comment or ask a question in the space provided below, and thanks for visiting.

Doorknob

Yep. A doorknob. A doorknob drawn freehand on an iPad with an Apple Pencil using the Sketch Club app.

I Had an Hour and Two Beers

So, I got to spend some time with superstar Piper, who’s being held by her mom, Vickie, the wife of my friend from childhood, Joe.

Superstar Piper

Ah, the beers?  First, I had a pint of the Irish Dry Stout; then, a pint of Mischievous Brown Ale.
Where: Helltown Brewing, Houston, PA taproom.

Blue Eagle in Athens, OH

My first Athens, OH iPad drawing of a local landmark. Unfolding re-entry story to follow. Sketch Club app, Apple Pencil, iColorama, and an iPad Pro.

40 Court St.

See an accompanying video…it’s a kind of illustration of “value,” check it out:

My friend’s grandson

His name is Sean Reeser. He plays sax; and, he plays it well.
I drew him on my iPad using an Apple Pencil in the Sketch Club app with a final tweak or two in iColorama.
Check him out below playing with @ZackGrooves and Everything Yes, Live at Memphis Drum Shop.

Copper Pretzel Plumbing on my New iPad

Image

I recently got a new iPad, a sixth-generation iPad Pro, 12.9-inch (33 cm), colloquially known as the M2 iPad Pro, complete with digital copper plumbing, 512 GB and, by necessity, a new 2nd generation Apple Pencil. Yea, it’s amazing; it’s my 3rd iPad since I started drawing and painting on an iPad in 2013, 10 years ago!

Here are a few other digital renderings done on my new device – mostly composed in Sketch Club using iColorama, Procreate and VideoShop here and there:

A new friend, Alani

Alani’s one of four beautiful dogs, including Caula, a Miniature Dachshund; as well as Shiloh and Nova, Toy Labradoodles, who are sisters. There’s a cat too, Hula, a loyal Tabby. Now back to Alani, AKA Lani, Alonzo, A-Lonzo, who spent a lot of time on my lap. She’s a Mini Labradoodle offspring of a Rare Red Labrador and a Poodle.

My interpretation of Alani on an iPad using Sketch Club.

Here’s the rest of the cast:

The photo reference for Alani

By the way, Annyth and I are stopping off in Tucson, AZ to visit family, pictured below. Lilia, on the left, and Tracy (my niece), on the right, along with about 60 other un-pictured people, were celebrating the 18th birthday of their daughter, Makena.

Oh, one more action shot of Alani:

Alani, expecting…

What a wonderful visit. Annyth and I love you guys!!

Lucas Imbiriba, Guitar, Malagueña, Fire Extinguisher

Bumped into another amazing guitarist, Lucas Imbiriba. I snuck a little screen shot – as a reference photo for a Sketch Club painting on my iPad – taken from the YouTube video below in which he plays Malagueña. He has other astonishing videos. The fire extinguisher? That’s my idea. I hope he keeps one handy for his fingers.

Sing, Michael!
